Jimmy Nelson is a popular photographer who became famous thanks to the publication in 2015 of photographs of isolated tribes in his book Before They Die. Nelson spent three weeks in each tribe to study their way of life and traditions.

In 2018, Nelson published his second major project, Dedication to Humanity. He visited 34 isolated tribes on five continents, visiting some places from his previous journey. Although his first book was a collection of photographs, this time the photographer decided to expand the project and add interesting travel notes, route maps, facts, and personal interviews with tribal members.
