Japanese skateboarder and self-taught sculptor named Haroshi combined two hobbies that he has been fond of for many years. From outdated skateboards, he creates impressive works in the genre of pop culture. Instead of going to a trash can, old boards turn into bright and unusual works of art.
Second chance for obsolete skateboards
The unusual sculptures of Harosha can be given thanks to wood layering, which skateboards are usually made of. The Japanese makes some of his works from several boards glued together. Due to this use, a volumetric effect is achieved. Other Haroshi carves from old skateboards, giving them the shape of hearts, skulls and other objects.
A passionate fan of skateboarding, Kharoshi often turns his own old boards into bright masterpieces. “For me, each board is valuable. I love skateboarding. These items are an expression of my connection with the outside world. And with myself too. I can’t imagine what I would do if it weren’t for my hobbies. ”
Japanese sculptures once again prove: even from old things it is quite possible to create decent things. Of some skateboards, Haroshi does even quite practical things. For example, from one board he managed to make a real guitar - of course, very bright in appearance.
