We combine all the dry components and add to the chopped margarine. Quickly grind the mixture into crumbs, after which we pour a little water - just enough so that you can collect it into a uniform lump. Then we divide into two not quite equal parts and, packing in polyethylene, put it for an hour in the refrigerator.
Cut the apples into thin slices and, stacked in a deep bowl, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, sprinkle with lemon juice and sprinkle with starch. Some also add some freshly ground ginger.
