Art can be created from anything - especially if a person knows how to think outside the box. This is proved by a street artist from France, working under the nickname Lor-K. On his instagram page She tells how she works as the creator of unusual mattresses, which in their appearance also resemble dishes and snacks.
Lor-K turns used mattresses thrown into the street by their owners into gigantic patterns of convenient “food”. She cleans them, changes their shape, then gives them a new look and leaves the mattresses where she found them. But now they no longer terrify passers-by with their appearance. Rather, they cause a desire to just admire them.
From afar, you might think that on the sidewalk someone really forgot huge sushi or shawarma. But approaching, you can see that in fact these are carefully transformed and painted old mattresses.
Among the works of Lor-K are not only snacks, but also sweets. This pistachio popsicle looks especially “appetizing”.Indeed, owners of ice cream stalls could easily collaborate with the artist. After all, with such an attractive design, customers would be more than enough.
To “reincarnate” the mattress from the old and shabby to the new and mouth-watering, Lor-K has to make a lot of effort. The process mainly takes place right on the street.
