In Arizona, residents experienced real surrealism. They were lucky to feel at once two extremes of nature in one place. New Year brought a little winter tale to their hot climate. People began to share photos of the snowfall in the Sonora Desert, and these pictures turned out to be simply unreal!
Today, snow covers cacti, the rocky desert and the iconic Grand Canyon. Photos are breathtaking! According to the latest weather reports, Tucson fell 0.4 inches (1 cm) of snow, while in Arizona there was up to 18 inches of snow (46 cm). Snow fell due to too much accumulation of cold air circulating among the high altitudes in the region.
