  1. A pot of butter is put on fire. Peel onions and carrots, cut into small pieces, sauté in a saucepan (7 min.).
  2. Washed and dried meat is cut into pieces, sent to vegetables. Pork is fried over high heat along with carrots and onions (5 min.), Constantly stirred. After that, 2/3 glasses of water are poured into the pan, the fire is reduced and the meat is extinguished under the lid (12 min.).
  3. Peeled potatoes are cut into slices, added to the meat.
  4. Top up the water so that the potatoes are almost covered. You don’t need to pour too much - the ingredients should not float. If the liquid begins to boil prematurely, a small amount of water can be added during the preparation process.
  5. The contents of the pan are salted, pepper, seasoned with spices and left to simmer under the lid over moderate heat for 40-50 minutes. (if tougher meat was chosen, the cooking time should be increased).
  6. In 5 minutes until the stove is turned off, chopped garlic is added to the pan.

Cooking in a slow cooker

Instead of cooking on the stove, you can stew potatoes with meat in a slow cooker.

For the dish you will need:

  • fresh champignons - 300 g;
  • pork - 400 g;
  • potatoes - 500-600 g;
  • onion - 2 pcs.;
  • salt, oil, spices, herbs.

Culinary process:

  1. Rinse the meat, cut into slices - fry everything in a pan (7 min.). Pour in a little water, leave the pork to stew under the lid (20 min.).
  2. Chop the second onion. Cut the washed mushrooms into slices. In another pan, fry the mushrooms with onions until cooked. If you wish, add a little salt and pepper.
  3. Cut the potatoes into slices, send to the pan to the half-finished pork. Salt, sprinkle with spices, mix everything. Add water so that the potatoes are not completely covered. Stew under the lid for about half an hour.
  4. When the meat and potatoes are ready, mushrooms are transferred to the pan to them.

The dish is sprinkled with herbs and served with a salad of fresh vegetables.

How to cook with cabbage

You can add cabbage to pork and potatoes (or stew meat only with cabbage).

You will need the following products:

  • cabbage - 1 small head of cabbage;
  • potatoes - 3-4 pcs.;
  • pork - 400 g;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • salt, spices, oil, herbs.

Culinary process step by step:

  1. Before cooking, you can add a little salt, pepper (cabbage and potatoes are salted separately), then it needs to be cut into slices.
  2. The meat is fried in a pan until a crust appears on it. Shredded onion and coarsely grated carrots are sent to it. All overcook for about 7 minutes, not forgetting to stir.
  3. Potatoes are cut into pieces, put in a separate bowl, salted, mixed. Mix with meat in a pan, lightly fry (3 min.)
