How will our society change with the advent of robots? This question seriously interested the French photographer Nicholas Bigot. He created a series of images called "The Robot Next Door" ("Robot next door").
Bigo's hobby embodied in creativity
In addition to his main occupation, Bigot is interested in science fiction films. A photographer has studied computer graphics for ten years. “I immediately realized that robots are mine. I'm just crazy about this topic. After all, it is likely that looking at robots, we see ourselves in the future, ”says Bigot.
It took a designer a year to finish his project. During this time, he took 70 photographs. On them, robots are engaged in completely human affairs. They paint nails, smoke, tie a tie and reflect on the eternal.
“For a whole year I worked in sweat. Pictures of this project are filled with the most personal experiences. Looking at them, you can feel how the line between the robot and the person is erased“, Nicholas emphasizes.
We will also enjoy Bigot’s creativity, in which he sees the future as technological as human.
Will robots become part of our society? Time will tell. One way or another, Bigot's work (and robots) are quite worthy of attention.
