Stages of preparation:

  1. Boil carrots, beets and potatoes until cooked.
  2. Remove the peel and cut the vegetables into cubes.
  3. Put the beets in gauze and squeeze the excess juice from it. Otherwise, the dish will be too watery, or completely disintegrate.
  4. Chop onions into very thin half rings.
  5. Cut herring with medium cubes. Mix it with onions.
  6. Boil the eggs. Now rub them on a fine or medium grater.
  7. Cover the cutting board with cling film.
  8. Spread the beets along the entire length of the film, leave a few centimeters with the edge empty.
