  • 2 onions;

  • salt, bay leaf, saffron, uchi-suneli, coriander, red hot pepper.

The cooking method consists of the following steps:

  1. A well-washed carcass removes the tail, after which the chicken is divided into pieces. They are placed in boiling water to maintain greater juiciness.
  2. A whole onion is added to the broth and the meat is cooked to a ready state on low heat.
  3. A few minutes before the end of cooking, a bay leaf is sent to the chicken.
  4. The meat is removed and freed from the bones. A little fat is removed from the filtered broth so that the dish does not freeze.
  5. Onion cubes are sautéed over low heat until golden brown.
  6. The kernels of juicy light-colored nuts are passed along with peeled garlic through a meat grinder.
  7. The nut-garlic mass is mixed with salt and spices, after which 400 ml of broth is poured.
  8. After the next stirring, the liquid is poured into a pan with onions, where it is also mixed with vinegar.
  9. After boiling the sauce with the consistency of thick sour cream, the meat is seasoned.
  10. The dish is placed in the refrigerator and can be served to the table no earlier than after 4 hours.

Cooking with Walnuts and Sour Cream

Chicken with walnuts and sour cream is cooked according to a more simplified scheme, but it has no less rich taste and aroma.

The recipe from:

  • hen;
  • 800 g of sour cream;
  • 300 g of walnuts;
  • the same amount of fresh parsley;
  • 100 g dried cilantro;
  • heads of garlic;
  • salt and pepper.

Stages of creation:

  1. Boiled meat is divided into pieces.
  2. A sauce of sour cream, walnut kernels, garlic, herbs and salt is prepared in a blender.
  3. The meat is poured with sauce and placed in the refrigerator for impregnation.

Step by step cooking with cream

Satsivi with a delicate creamy taste can be easily prepared from:

  • 2 onions;
  • 1 kg of chicken;
  • 200 ml cream;
  • a small amount of flour;
  • 30 g butter;
  • heads of garlic;
  • 200 g of walnuts;
  • salt and spices for satsivi.

In preparation, the steps are performed in the following sequence:

  1. Broth is cooked from chicken and a whole onion, which ½ liter is required to prepare a Georgian dish.
  2. The meat is divided into pieces of various shapes and sizes.
  3. The remaining onion is chopped and sautéed in butter in a saucepan, where meat is then laid out.
  4. Garlic is minced in a blender along with nuts, spices and salt.
  5. The resulting mass is poured with strained broth and cream, after which everything is poured into a deep pan with a thick bottom.
  6. After boiling, Satsivi is crushed with flour to thicken.

Chicken Satsivi with Peanuts

An interesting recipe, for the implementation of which will require the following components:

  • chicken - ½ kg;
  • butter - a slice;
  • eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • flour - 50 g;
  • peanuts - 2 times more;
  • onion - 2 pcs.;
  • garlic - ½ head;
  • salt, vinegar and spices.

The dish is prepared in this way:

  1. The washed and peeled chicken is boiled and divided into small pieces. They are fried until golden brown on ½ of the oil specified in the recipe.
  2. Onions are chopped and fried in flour with the remaining oil.
  3. At the end, chopped garlic, salt and vinegar are added to the onion.
  4. In one stewpan, the bird and vegetables are laid out, after which everything is poured into 400 ml of strained broth and stewed.
  5. At the end of the stew, chopped peanuts, pre-mixed with the yolks, are introduced into the dish.

Easy recipe for a fragrant dish.

For cooking you need:

  • 2 breasts;
  • 150 g of walnuts;
  • a bunch of cilantro;
  • a piece of butter;
  • 30 ml of sunflower oil;
  • head of garlic;
  • spices for satsivi and salt.

To enjoy an original dish of Caucasian cuisine, do the following:

  1. Using a blender chopped nuts, herbs and half garlic.
  2. The mass is mixed with a glass of water and left to swell nuts for 1 hour.
  3. Onions are cut in half rings, and the breast is cut into thin strips.
  4. Onion half rings are passerized. After acquiring a golden color onion, pieces of the bird are laid out in the pan and fried until golden brown.
  5. Meat-onion mass and nut mixture are transferred to a pan, where 100 ml of water is poured.
  6. After 10 minutes of being on low heat, for which it is impossible to prevent boiling, the dish is salted and seasoned to taste.
  7. After satsivi boils, the dish is removed from the stove.

To enjoy the taste of Georgian dishes, it is enough to purchase:

  • 1.6 kg of chicken;
  • 300 g peeled walnuts;
  • 3 onions;
  • 2 heads of garlic;
  • 15 ml ghee;
  • spices for satsivi (saffron, hops-suneli, coriander);
  • salt and pepper.

In the process of creation, we follow this algorithm:

  1. A broth is prepared from chicken meat, which is then filtered.
  2. The meat is divided into pieces. Chopped onions are passerized. Walnuts crumble in a mortar.
  3. Satsivi sauce for chicken is prepared by mixing walnuts, spices, onions and chopped garlic.
  4. The sauce of liquid consistency is poured into a saucepan, brought to a boil, after which pieces of meat are laid out there.
  5. After cooling down, satsivi goes to the refrigerator for several hours.

How to make in a slow cooker?

The famous Georgian dish can be cooked using a slow cooker.

To do this, prepare:

  • chicken - 1 pc.;
  • butter and vegetable oil - 50 ml each;
  • cilantro - 1 bunch;
  • flour - 50 g;
  • walnuts - 300 g;
  • onion - 6 pcs.;
  • garlic - 2 heads;
  • salt, spices for satsivi.

Cooking method:

  1. Half an chopped garlic and onion is laid out in a greased multicooker bowl.
  2. Salted slices of cut carcass are placed on the vegetable “pillow”.
  3. On the multicooker in the "Baking" mode, a timer of 40 minutes is set.
  4. In a separate bowl, using the blender, mix the remaining garlic, onions, cilantro and nuts.
  5. In a deep bowl, spices and flour are diluted with water, after which a nut mass is introduced into the dishes.
  6. At the end of the program, the meat is poured with sauce and the crock-pot is set in the “Stewing” mode for 60 minutes.
  7. After cooking, the dish is transferred to another container, which is sent to the cold for 10 - 12 hours.

What is chicken satsivi served with?

A traditional Georgian dish is served cold therefore, corn porridge, like mamalyga, corn tortillas or pita bread, is used as a side dish. In the case when the hostess decided to serve Satsivi hot, then a cold garnish in the form of mashed potatoes or crumbly rice will be an excellent addition.
