Cooking rolls with red caviar at home
Today, rolls occupy one of the first places in the list of the most favorite dishes of most people. But, at the same time, this pleasure is not cheap - to enjoy this dish in a cafe or sushi bar, you need to pay a considerable amount for one portion. After two or three such trips to the restaurant, the thought arises: why not prepare the rolls yourself? After all, such a dish will cost much cheaper, and the portion will turn out much more - for the whole family. Fortunately, there is the opportunity to cook any rolls yourself at home in any free time, and not just rolls, but rolls with red caviar! You can find the recipe for this dish in our article. We will convince you that it is more than possible to cook rolls with red caviar, which in no way inferior to similar dishes in the restaurant.
So, in order to cook rolls at home, you need to go to the store and get all those unusual “overseas” ingredients, the names of which so often make us smile because of the bizarre Japanese pronunciation. By the way, depending on your preferences, you can change the composition of the ingredients and vary them, following the example of Caesar salad. The main feature of the recipe is that this dish can be prepared in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 2 sheets Nori
- 1 cup rice for sushi (this is a special kind of rice that can be found in any supermarket)
- 1 glass of water
- 1 small cucumber
- A small slice of avocado
- 100 g cream cheese
- 100 gr of Bulgarian red pepper
- red caviar for decoration (to taste)
- pickled ginger
- soy sauce
- wasabi
Special equipment:
- bamboo mat (for forming rolls)
Cooking:
- To start, we’ll wash the rice for sushi under cold water. Do this several times so that at the end of cooking it does not stick together and remains crumbly.
- Pour rice with cold water and set to cook. For this, the standard cooking method is suitable: after boiling, cook rice over low heat for 10 minutes - until the liquid is completely evaporated
- While the rice comes to condition, prepare vegetables and avocados. Cucumber, bell pepper and avocado wash and peel. Cut them into thin long slices
- After the rice is cooked, rinse it under running water and throw it into a colander - to get rid of excess fluid.
- We put nori on the bamboo mat. Please note that the sheet should lie with its smooth side down.
- We distribute the rice over the entire surface of the noriya leaf, leaving one centimeter on both sides in the direction as we wrap
- In the middle we spread 2 slices of avocado, cucumber and bell pepper and cream cheese.
- Now the most crucial moment has come - you need to carefully and firmly roll a sheet of nori into a sausage. Slightly pressing on the edges, gradually roll up the sheet and in the end we press on it so that the roll holds tight and does not turn around.
- Cut the sausage into equal pieces. To do this, first cut it in half, both halves again in half, etc.
- The most beautiful and solemn moment - we decorate rolls with red caviar. To do this, put them on a dish, and put caviar on each of them with a spoon.
- Serve with wasabi, soy sauce and pickled ginger to the table and eat quickly.
