A little story about your favorite cookie
Known to all, the “Jubilee” cookie has a long history, which dates back to the time of the Russian Empire. It was created by the Frenchman Adolf Sioux in honor of the centenary of the royal Romanov dynasty. The release of dessert was established in 1913 at the Moscow Confectionery Factory, which after the revolution and nationalization in 1920 began to be called the Bolshevik. On the first day of sales of cookies, revenue amounted to a little more than 120 rubles, which at that time was considered a very solid amount.
Later, the company was bought first by Danone, and then by Kraft Foods, now known as Mondelez. In 2013, Yubileiny turned 100 years old and a limited edition of cookies with the corresponding printed inscription was timed to coincide with this event. To date, dessert is produced in Russia at two factories in the Krasnodar Territory and Vladimir Region.
