- 150-200 grams of onions (2-3 medium-sized onions);
- 400 grams of pollock;
- 125 grams of thick sour cream;
- as much milk;
- 2 eggs;
- a little flour (it will be needed to roll the fish pieces before frying);
- vegetable oil;
- also salt and spices, such as black pepper or seasoning for fish.
Thaw the frozen carcass first and clean it, and if you buy the fillet, you can immediately start cooking:
- First of all, it is necessary to sprinkle the prepared pieces with salt and seasonings and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
- While pollock is pickled, you can do the onion: peel and chop it in half rings.
- Pour a little flour into a shallow plate. Thoroughly roll each piece of fish in it and send to a well-heated pan with pre-poured vegetable oil. Fry pollock on high heat so that the meat does not have time to let the juice go.
- As soon as the pieces are covered with a golden crust, carefully shift them into a deep baking dish. - It takes about 10 minutes for the onion to stew to the desired degree of readiness. During this time, you will have time to cook sour cream sauce. First beat the eggs in a deep bowl and beat them thoroughly with salt. Add sour cream, mix again and, warming the milk to room temperature, carefully pour it into the eggs. After this, beat the mixture again. Do not forget to pepper a little sauce! It should have a rich, slightly spicy taste. Before dressing the dish, it can be brought to a boil, stirring continuously: this will make the consistency thicker and avoid sloppy lumps in the finished dish.
- Put the fried onion into pieces of pollock, and top it all with egg-sour cream mixture. Then tightly wrap the baking sheet with foil and send to the oven for half an hour.
