The easiest recipe, perfect for a beginner. This recipe is a 100% guarantee of perfect tea drinking. You can sprinkle poppy seed roll from yeast dough with icing sugar or cut into slices.
You will need:
- one and a half glasses of milk;
- a teaspoon of dried yeast;
- a pair of eggs;
- half a glass of sugar;
- butter - 110 g;
- flour - 4 glasses;
- vanillin on the tip of a knife;
- poppy - 450 g in finished form;
- condensed milk 2-3 tbsp. l .;

- The preparation of the dough takes the most time, so we start with it. Heat the milk so that it is warm (not hot!), Add yeast, a couple of teaspoons of sugar and a glass of flour. Cover with a kitchen towel and leave for half an hour in a warm place.
- During this time, you can cook the filling. First of all, boil the poppy and mix it with condensed milk. The amount of condensed milk is written approximately, so we look at its density and focus on our own. Poppy should not blur. If there is no condensed milk, then you can replace sugar or its syrup. You can add raisins to the poppy.
- After half an hour, when the dough is ready, add the butter, the remaining sugar, vanillin, eggs and one glass of flour to it. Mix thoroughly.
- The remaining flour must be introduced slowly, constantly mixing, so that no lumps form. Leave to rise for a couple of hours in the warmth.
- We knead the finished dough well and divide it into four equal parts, so, as a result, we get four rolls.
- We roll out each of the parts with a thin layer of about 0.5 centimeters and evenly spread the filling and roll it up with a tight roll.
- We spread the rolls at a distance of 5-6 centimeters from each other and leave to rise a little.
- In order for the rolls to be coated with a delicious golden crust, it is necessary to grease them with egg yolk before sending them to the oven.
- Bake rolls at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Secret. To make the poppy as soft as possible, some housewives pass it along with sugar through a meat grinder.
Cooking based on biscuit
A cake made with poppy seed cakes soaked in sour cream is a favorite treat for my grandmother. Growing up, we want to once again experience that taste of childhood, so we offer a recipe for air biscuit for three cakes.

- five eggs at room temperature;
- half a glass of sugar;
- flour 125 g;
- butter 125 g;
- baking powder or slaked soda;
- vanillin;
- dry poppy 150 g;

- three sheets of puff yeast-free dough;
- poppy 100 g;
- 2 tbsp. l honey;
- 50 ml of water;
- the yolk of one egg;
- sunflower oil.
Step-by-step instruction:
- Prepare poppy seeds for the filling. To do this, fill the poppy with ordinary water and cook over a minimum heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring constantly.
- You can prepare poppy seed filling for roll with the addition of honey, so we mix 2 tablespoons there and mix thoroughly.
- Rub the poppy thoroughly with a wooden potato masher.
- We roll out each layer of dough, lay out 1/3 of the filling and roll up the loose rolls.
- To make the dough even, make small cuts along the diagonal upper part and grease with egg yolk. So that he does not weight the top layer, you can slightly dilute it with water.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees. If the top layer is already starting to dry, cover the rolls with foil.
Tip: Honey perfectly soaks the hot poppy, so try to combine the components quickly.
Easter roll with poppy seeds
Easter pastries have long gone from ordinary Easter cakes with icing. A striking example of this is walnut-poppy seed roll. It is ideal for both holiday days and regular tea parties, as it is prepared very quickly and turns out to be incredibly airy.
You will need:
- premium flour - 250 g;
- half a glass of milk;
- one chicken egg;
- butter 50 g;
- sugar 2 tbsp. l .;
- yeast 1 tsp;
- a pinch of salt;
- packing of poppy 150 g;
- a glass of walnuts.
Step-by-step instruction:
- A little warm up the milk so that it becomes "paired." Add yeast and sugar to it.Mix well and leave for 15 minutes.
- At this time, sift the flour and mix it with salt, make a depression in the center.
- When the dough comes up, pour it into the pit of flour, pour the melted butter and beat the egg.
- Knead the dough and keep warm for 30 minutes.
- To prepare the filling, pour poppy seeds with boiling water and insist for 30 minutes, then pass through a meat grinder along with a walnut. Add sugar or honey to whoever you like best.

- half a liter of milk;
- 100 gram pack of poppy seeds;
- two chicken eggs;
- half a cup of semolina.
Step-by-step instruction:
- We take out the butter from the refrigerator and grind with 100 grams of sugar and flour. Rub carefully until an elastic lump is obtained.
- We divide the dough into three parts. We remove one in the freezer, and mix the two remaining ones evenly along the bottom of the form in which we will bake it, previously covering it with parchment. We remove the blanks in the freezer for half an hour.
- At this point, let's get stuffed. Pour milk into a pan with a thick bottom, add the remaining sugar and bring to a boil. When the first bubbles appear, add poppy seeds and semolina. Turn off the fire, cover and wait 10 minutes. After this time, the cream will acquire the consistency of sour cream.
- Beat cottage cheese in a blender with an egg and combine, with poppy seeds and semolina filling, mixing well.
- We get the blanks from the refrigerator. Pour the resulting mixture into the center of the cake, sprinkle with grated chips of a small piece of the remaining dough, which should clutch well in the freezer.
- Bake for an hour at 180 degrees.
In order for the pie not to spread when slicing, it must be cooled. The filling will be dense, and the cut is beautiful.
