Cholecystitis is a common disease that most often occurs in the female half of the population. It is characterized by attacks of pain on the right under the ribs, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and a deterioration in general condition. Since untreated pathology can lead to serious complications - perforation, the formation of abscesses, peritonitis - it is important to start therapy in a timely manner. Treatment of cholecystitis with folk remedies is possible only in combination with traditional methods and under the supervision of a doctor.

The most effective methods for treating cholecystitis

A special diet, tinctures, decoctions are aimed at improving the work of the gallbladder and stimulating the elimination of bile, which helps to cleanse the body.

There are two types of cholecystitis:

  • calculous - with the formation of calculi (stones) in the bladder, which are excreted along with bile;
  • non-calculous - a common inflammation of the walls of the bile.

Also, nutrition for cholecystitis must necessarily include freshly squeezed juices - fruit and vegetable (from beets, lingonberries, citrus fruits, cabbage).

Herbal preparations for the treatment of cholecystitis

Herbal preparations, which are used to treat cholecystitis, help relieve pain attacks, fight organ inflammation, stimulate the production of bile and its excretion into the gastrointestinal tract. Before you start taking, you need to consult your doctor and make sure that there are no allergies to the components of the collection, and if you feel worse, stop unconventional treatment.

Herbal fees:

  • 2 tablespoons of a mixture of dried echinacea and currant pour two cups of boiling water, let stand for several hours, strain. Drink 50 ml before meals;
  • mix in equal proportions yarrow, wormwood, birch leaves and juniper fruits. Take 10 g of the resulting mixture, pour 200 ml of boiling water, cook for half an hour on low heat, stand for about 40 minutes, strain. Drink one glass 2 times a day;
  • take two large spoons of dried chamomile, immortelle, peppermint and kidney tea, which can be purchased at the pharmacy. To them add soap dishes and hop cones, each of three spoons, and mix well. To prepare 1 liter of the drug, you need 3 large collection spoons, which are poured with boiling water and infused for about a day. Take an infusion of 70-100 ml 4-6 times during the day;
  • mix mint, wormwood, St. John's wort and valerian in equal proportions. In a glass of boiling water, take a tablespoon of the crushed mixture, pour and wait until it cools completely. Use half a glass of strained infusion three times a day for 15-20 minutes before eating.

Folk recipes for medicinal tinctures and decoctions

Tincture is a special form of medicine that is prepared by infusing herbs, fruits, vegetables with alcohol, water or other liquids. A correctly made tincture exhibits a persistent therapeutic effect, and its correct use leads to a significant improvement in the state of the body.

Tinctures for the treatment of cholecystitis:

  • pour a pinch of calamus roots in 200 ml of boiling water, let stand for 20 - 40 minutes, strain. Eat half a cup before each meal, but no more than 4 times a day;
  • a glass of grated horseradish pour 4 cups boiling water, after cooling, put in the refrigerator for a day. Drink 20 ml of liquid in a heated form right before meals;
  • pour boiled water half a kilogram of oats, withstand 45-60 minutes. Strain thoroughly, take 100 ml three times a day;
  • several flowers (10-15 pieces) of the saussure pour 400 ml of boiling water, put on fire, bring to a boil, let stand 15 minutes, allow to cool, then put to stand in a dark place for 24 hours, then strain. Use preheated 3 tbsp. tablespoons, 2-3 times a day.

Recipes of decoctions:

  • Throw 20g of chopped calamus leaves in two glasses of cold water, boil. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes, then cool, let stand for 10-15 minutes, strain. Eat 2 teaspoon before each meal;
  • 1 tablespoon of minced hypericum pour 200 ml of hot water. Boil for 15-20 minutes, then let it brew for several hours, strain. Take a third of a glass 2 times a day five minutes before meals;
  • one teaspoon of birch leaves, juniper berries and wormwood herbs pour 300 ml of boiling water, cook on the smallest fire, wait 25-30 minutes, then let the broth cool and strain it thoroughly. Take the drug twice a day 20-30 minutes before meals, preferably in the morning and before dinner.

Cholagogue folk remedies

Typically, folk recipes that are recommended for use with cholecystitis have a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect and a slightly choleretic effect, they can be used for any type of cholecystitis.

There are a number of recipes that are not recommended for resorting to in the case of cholecystitis with large calculi, since they have a pronounced choleretic effect:

  • in a glass of warm Borjomi (still), dilute a large spoonful of sorbitol, drink quickly and lie on your right side. To improve the effect, a heating pad can be applied to the right side;
  • fresh radish juice, which should be consumed 200 ml per day;
  • chicory tea with honey. Dilute half a teaspoon in a glass of hot water, add honey to taste and slowly drink.

It’s often useful to eat oils that have not been cooked, for example, dress them with salads. It can be sunflower, olive or any other vegetable oil. Honey also has choleretic properties, so it can be added to tea, decoctions, tinctures to achieve better results.

Gymnastics for the gallbladder

A correctly selected set of exercises improves blood circulation in the abdominal cavity, promotes proper placement of internal organs, positively affects the metabolism in the muscles of the bile duct and stabilizes the state of the nervous system. All this helps in the treatment and prevention of cholecystitis.

Exercise 1

Lie on your left side. During inhalation, take the upper arm straight back. When exhaling, place it along the body.

Exercise 2

Get on all fours. When inhaling, raise and extend the right hand; when exhaling, turn it into its original position. Repeat movement with your left hand.

Exercise 3

To stand so that the heels are in contact, and the socks are slightly apart, hands down along the body. Raising your hands slowly, inhale. Hold your breath for 2-3 seconds. Lowering your hands, exhale.

Exercise 4

Diet during remission of cholecystitis

A few basic rules will help you eat properly during remission and prevent the development of inflammation:

  • consume food in small portions, but often. This contributes to the complete emptying of the gallbladder;
  • minimize the amount of salt;
  • limit sweets and eggs;
  • monitor the calorie content of foods, it is advisable to consume no more than 3000 kcal per day;
  • eat food only in a warm form;
  • to drink a lot of water.

When inflammation subsides, it is enough to minimize the use of fatty meat (duck, pork), fried foods, soda, alcohol. Significantly reduce the amount of fruits and vegetables raw.You also need to monitor the full intake of vitamins and minerals (if necessary, resort to artificial analogues). It is advisable to add to the diet more foods containing lithotropic substances - cheese, beans, cabbage, spinach.

Diet for acute gallbladder cholecystitis

During acute cholecystitis, the diet provides for the complete exclusion of those foods that were limited in remission - alcohol, eggs, sweets, fried and fatty dishes, soda. All food during this period should be steamed. It is useful to eat dairy and dairy products, vegetable oils, not raw vegetables.

Allowed lean meat, cereals (the exception is millet), bread, vegetarian soups. Drinking broths is highly undesirable.
