Steamed chicken with vegetables in a slow cooker

If you add vegetables to the chicken - you get a great duet. Steamed, they retain useful properties much better than with other heat treatment. It will turn out not only a delicious dish, but also healthy, which is suitable for baby food, and for a diet table.

So, to prepare a dish, you will need:

  • 300 g chicken breast;
  • 100 g of string beans;
  • 100 g of frozen corn;
  • carrot;
  • 100 g of green peas;
  • spice.

Now that all the products are ready, let's start the process:

  1. Rinse chicken breast under running water, cut into portions and put on a wire rack.
  2. Sprinkle with your favorite spices.
  3. Rub the carrots on a coarse grater, put on top of the breast.
  4. Coat sequentially with layers of corn, green peas and green beans.

How to cook chicken in a slow cooker with rice? Easier than you think! For this dish, any part of the chicken in the quantity you need is suitable (the only restriction here is the size of the bowl of the double boiler).

So, for cooking you will need:

  • chicken (breast, filet, thighs or drumstick - to your taste);
  • 2 multi-cups of steamed rice;
  • garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce;
  • 4 multi-glasses of water;
  • salt and spices.

There are several simple steps that separate us from the finished dish:

  1. We rinse the washed and dried meat with garlic and soy sauce, you can add pepper or other spices to taste.
  2. While the chicken is pickling, we will prepare the rice, it must be thoroughly washed until the water becomes clear.
  3. We place the washed rice in the multicooker bowl, fill it with water, add salt to taste and mix thoroughly.
  4. Put the marinated meat in a multicooker bowl.

  • 400 g of minced chicken made from chicken fillet twisted in a meat grinder;
  • egg;
  • 1 small onion;
  • slide of breadcrumbs;
  • salt and pepper.

To mix the minced meat you will need a fairly capacious container.

So let's get started:

  1. In the prepared cup we spread the minced meat, add the raw egg, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Grind the onion on a fine grater, add to the minced meat, mix.
  3. Add crackers, mix until smooth.
  4. Leave for 20 minutes so that the crackers absorb the excess liquid.
  5. We form small products, it is advisable to do this with wet hands to prevent the minced meat from sticking.
  6. We spread the resulting cutlets in a steaming bowl.
  7. Pour 1 liter of water into the slow cooker, turn on the “Steam cooking” mode. To speed up the process, you can pour hot water.
  8. When the water boils, set the bowl with cutlets in the slow cooker. Depending on the size of the cutlets, they cook from 10 to 25 minutes.

Garnish can be served with mashed potatoes or vegetables.

Important! To prevent the chicken fillet from generating a lot of moisture, it should be pre-dried with a clean kitchen towel.

Steamed diet chicken filet in a slow cooker

Connoisseurs of chicken know that often when cooking it turns out to be excessively dry. To avoid this, a small trick will help you - preliminary marinating.

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet;
  • salt (preferably using marine food) and seasonings;
  • 3 multi-glasses of water.

The process will please with its simplicity:

  1. We wash the chicken fillet with running water, remove excess moisture with a paper towel.
  2. Remove the film, cut the fillet into portioned slices and rub them with a mixture of salt and spices.
  3. Leave to marinate for half an hour.
  4. Pour water into the slow cooker, set the steaming bowl with the pickled fillet pieces laid on it.
  5. We start the “Steam cooking” (“Steam”) mode, set the timer for 30 minutes.

How to cook in foil

If the slow cooker has a “Baking” mode, you can cook the chicken in foil.

This will require:

  • chicken carcass;
  • 6 cloves of garlic;
  • 150 g sour cream (preferably with a high percentage of fat content);
  • salt, spices;
  • a tablespoon of any vegetable oil;
  • foil.

Cooking:

  1. Rinse thawed chicken thoroughly with running water, dry excess liquid with a paper towel.
  2. Grate the prepared carcass with a mixture of spices and salt, as well as garlic, which for this purpose can be cut in half, pass through a garlic press, or grate on a fine grater.
  3. Spread chicken with sour cream.
  4. Carefully lay the carcass flavored with spices and sour cream on the foil. Please note that the foil size must be sufficient to wrap.
  5. Wrap the carcass in foil, carefully fixing the edges to prevent juice from flowing out.
  6. Leave for 30 minutes at room temperature so that the spices soak the chicken meat.
  7. Lubricate the multicooker bowl with oil.
  8. Place the chicken, start the “Baking” mode, set the timer for 40 minutes.

Important! If you want the chicken cooked in foil to have a delicious golden crust, you should carefully remove it from the foil, drain all the accumulated liquid, and fry on all sides in the “Baking” mode. This will take about 15 minutes.

With potatoes

Another great idea for a family meal is chicken thighs with potatoes. The beauty of the recipe is that the chicken and the side dish are cooked at the same time.

To prepare the dish, you will need the following products (based on 4 servings):

  • 2 chicken thighs (remember that chicken cooked with skin is much fatter than without it);
  • 1 kg of potato (preferably young);
  • 1 onion;
  • half a head of fresh cabbage;
  • 1 tomato
  • 50 g of hard cheese;
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard;
  • 0.5 l of water;
  • salt and seasoning.

Technology:

  1. Rinse chicken thighs with running water. Dry with a paper towel. Remove skin if necessary.
  2. Rub the hips with a mixture of salt and spices, as well as mustard. Let stand in the refrigerator. While the thighs are pickling, let's get vegetables.
  3. Cut peeled potatoes into slices 7-8 mm thick. Put in a slow cooker, salt.
  4. Finely chop the cabbage, mix it with potatoes.
  5. Cut peeled onions into rings.
  6. Cut the tomato into circles.
  7. It's time to get the pickled hips out of the fridge. Line the pan for steaming with foil, put the hips, top with half chopped onion rings.
  8. On top of the onion, spread the slices of tomato.
  9. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, sprinkle on top of the tomatoes.
  10. The remaining half of the onions mixed in a bowl of a slow cooker with potatoes and cabbage.
  11. Pour vegetables with water, install a bowl of a double boiler.
  12. Cook the dish in the “Stew / Steaming” mode by setting the timer for 40 minutes.
  13. After the allotted time, remove the chicken pan, turn on the “Baking” mode and fry the vegetables for 15 minutes.
