This fruit can be called "difficult", and all because of the fact that it is not so easy to remove the skin from it. But still, there are several ways to clean the pomegranate properly without splashing everything around.

How to clean the pomegranate?

Many people completely refuse to buy this fruit simply because they do not know how to clean it. But this is not at all difficult to learn. Before proceeding to the process, be sure to rinse the pomegranate well and wipe it with a paper towel so that it becomes completely dry.

  1. Use a very sharp knife to remove the top so as not to touch the grain.
  2. Carefully make incisions along the white stripes, trying to cut only the peel and not touching the berries.
  3. Take one of the cut parts with your hands and start pulling it. As a result, it is very easy to move away with the contents. Do the same with all the other slices.

If you want to get not slices, but only grains without a peel, then use another method.

  1. Place the washed and dried fruit on the board, cut off its “crown”.
  2. With a very sharp knife on the skin of the fetus, spend four cuts along, as if dividing it into segments.
  3. Now you have to make a small pressure with your hands in the very middle of the fetus and thus separate it.
  4. Turn each of the formed parts into a bowl so that the separated grains pour out into it.

6-movement cleaning

There is another way to clean the pomegranate without spray, while maintaining the integrity of the grains.

  1. Just below the “crown” of the fetus, make a circular, not too deep incision.
  2. Grasp the tail and carefully remove the cut off “hat”.
  3. Inside you will see white membranes.Where they end, near the peel, you need to make an incision in a semicircle to cut through the skin.
  4. Place a thin knife in the center of the fetus
  5. Turn it clockwise, while the grenade should be divided into parts.
  6. Remove the grains with a spoon.

How to clean pomegranate without splashing in water?

It seems to peel a ripe, juicy pomegranate - the whole problem. It turns out that it can be easily carved in water and dispense with loss of juice. But the process itself will be long.

  1. Rinse the fruit well, let it dry or dry with paper towels.
  2. Place it on a hard surface, make a circular cut on top, under the “crown”, and remove the “hat”.
  3. Take a deep container, fill it with water, lower the fruit there and divide it with your hands into several parts or in half. To make it more convenient and easier to do, you can apply a few more longitudinal cuts on the skin of the fruit itself.
  4. Without removing the pomegranate from the water, begin to divide it there into grains. After that, remove the remaining skins from there and strain the contents. Or send everything to a colander and remove the excess parts.

30 second cleansing

A method that shows that actually peeling this fruit is not only simple, but also very fast. In addition, you will not get dirty at all, and all the grains will remain intact

  1. Put the washed and peeled pomegranate on a hard surface so that the “crown” is on the side. Cut it with a sharp knife along with part of the fruit.
  2. Inside you will see white membranes along which you need to make cuts.
  3. Then turn the fruit over, remembering to place it in a pre-prepared container.
  4. From the uncut side, tap on it with a tablespoon. Do this until all the grains are in the bowl. Please note that it must be deep so that splashes do not fly away.

How to clean the pomegranate so that it remains intact?

The cleaning option is described below when you have a whole round fruit without a peel. Here, the knife will be needed only for the first cut, and then the whole process will go manually.

  1. As always, first rinse the fruit, remove dirt from it and dry thoroughly.
  2. Use a knife to make a small incision in the “crown” of the fetus.
  3. Now you can work a little more with a knife and make a cross-shaped incision, in which case subsequent actions will be even easier.
  4. Grasp any part of the top where the “crown” of the fruit is and start pulling it towards yourself very carefully, without tearing it off.
  5. Pull and see what happens - you should see below the crown part of the white veins, which indicate that the skin has begun to separate from the grains.
  6. Repeat these steps until the entire peel is completely removed, so do not forget to remove the films. If this is not done immediately and left behind, then after some time it will be quite difficult to separate them from the grains.

Ladle cleaning

Before proceeding with the cleaning process, prepare everything you need. You will need a fairly deep container, a sharp knife and a ladle.

It is recommended to carry out cleaning with rubber gloves, since they help to avoid yellowing of the skin. It is painted under the influence of juice and such a “camouflage” is then very difficult to wash off. From splashing juice around during the cleaning process protect the high sides of the plate.

Of course, in this method, instead of a ladle, you can use a tablespoon.

  1. Rinse the pomegranate thoroughly, you can even scald it with boiling water. Dry at room temperature or wipe with paper towels.
  2. Place the fruit on the board, with a sharp knife, cut off the top just below the “crown”. Remove her.
  3. Above, after cropping, you will see a white hard part, it must be removed.
  4. Cut the bottom of the fruit to the grain level.
  5. Put the fruit sideways, make a shallow cut with a knife so that only the skin cuts along the fruit, as if you want to split it in half.
  6. Hold the pomegranate over a deep plate (it is advisable to lower it closer to the bottom so as not to splatter the juice) and break it into the cut with your hands. In this case, the falling grains should fall into the container.
  7. After separation, to insure, put a plate in the sink (do not forget to put on gloves), turn the empty half of the pomegranate over with the seeds down and tap on the skin with a ladle until the remaining contents are sprinkled. Do the same with the other part. Remove excess from a plate with peeled grains, if suddenly something comes off with them.

Of course, in the homeland of fruit it is eaten a lot and with pleasure, and the cleaning process is not difficult even for children. Practice also you. You will surely succeed!
