Cecilia Paredes, a Peruvian artist born in Philadelphia, decided to combine photography, painting and social performance. Thus created a unique form of art.

Cecilia is the main character of her own photographs. It’s quite difficult to catch her silhouette. Cecilia's figure aesthetically disappears.

Instead of using canvas, Paredes paints directly on his skin. She just takes paint and clothes. And then merges with a floral background, like a chameleon. Sometimes she leaves her hair loose, making her presence visible to the viewer.

“I pick up clothes or finish certain elements on my body in order to merge with the ornament or background pattern. In this way, I present myself as part of this landscape, ”she says.

“With my works I want to show that we are part of nature and the world around us, where I live, breathe, feel, communicate and interact with other people,” admits Cecilia.

“I also love to move to different places on the planet. And this is evident in my various images, ”said Cecilia about herself and her work.

Her performance is completely hypnotic. And it's worth seeing with your own eyes. Enjoy contemporary art!
