A tree with a wide pyramidal crown, rather tall, branches extend from the trunk almost at right angles, which facilitates the process of forming pruning.
Fruits are larger than average size, about 170 grams, has a characteristic, elongated shape. The pulp is not oily, crunchy, juicy, like an apple. The peel of the fruit is yellow-orange, rosy on the sunny side.
The variety is unpretentious, resistant to disease. Needs watering and fertilizer. The fruits are tasty, juicy and sweet, they are stored until December, very well suited for making pear juices.
Outdoor landing
It is better to plant this sort of pear in the spring, before the buds begin to bloom in the trees, and the soil thaws out a little field of winter frosts and warms up. In the south, planting can be done in the fall - from mid-September to early October, when the leaves partially fall off.
For planting, a seedling is purchased in a nursery. It is better to choose an annual tree, about 1 m tall, with a closed root system (planted in a container). The size of the planting hole should correspond to the volume of the container in which the seedling grows, you do not need to make a large hole.
It is advisable to choose a place well-lit by the sun, the tree will develop well and bear fruit.
Tips for proper fit:
- The roots of the tree from the container do not shake off the ground, planted by transshipment.
- If the seedling has a bare root system, it is kept for 24 hours in water.
- The root neck is not buried, it can begin to rot.
- A strong peg is driven into the landing hole, and a seedling is tied to it. This will save him from strong gusts of wind.
- The earth is being compacted.
After planting, the tree is watered using at least 20 liters of water, the trunk circle is mulched with mowed grass or rotted compost.
Correct pear planting pattern
The variety is popular among gardeners of fans of the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, in the North Caucasus region and in Ukraine. Hoverla, Conference and Klapp's Favorite are suitable for him as pollinators.
Talgar beauty is a medium-sized tree, the distance between seedlings in a row is at least 4 meters, and the same between rows.
The recommended scheme for planting in the garden is to place all the seedlings in a row or in a checkerboard pattern. It is advisable to plant several different varieties nearby that will pollinate each other. For pears, the sunny part of the garden is isolated, they are placed away from plum trees and cherries, with which they have common pests.
Pear care Talgar beauty on the site
Formative pruning is one of the important annual tree care events that begin with 2 years of cultivation. Frozen shoots are cut in the spring. When forming the crown, it is desirable to bend the branches to a horizontal position, then the tree begins to bear fruit faster. After this formation, the crown becomes more leafy, it is convenient to pluck the fruits from it.
At Talgar beauty, branches are so abundantly strewn with fruits that they break under their weight. It is advisable to fix the problem in time, and place supports under the loaded branches so that they do not break off.
The tree begins to bear fruit for 3 years of cultivation, from now on it must be fertilized annually. Fruits take a lot of nutrients. In the spring, complex feeding with a predominance of nitrogen is introduced, in the summer - potash and phosphorus, in the fall - overripe organics.
We must not forget about watering on hot summer days, when the crop ripens on the branches. Watering is best in the early morning, and the trunk circle is constantly mulched with rotted compost or mowed grass.
Preparing for the winter of young trees includes pre-winter watering, pruning, treatment from pests and diseases. So that the bark is not bitten by mice, seedlings are tied with spruce branches. For 5 years of cultivation, the bark will be coarser, and the mice will not be afraid of the tree.
Young pears must be whitewashed with lime, mixing 1.5 kg of freshly slaked lime, 0.5 kg of clay and 5 l of water. You can add 1 cup of milk, 50 g of wood glue and 200 g of copper sulphate to the whitewashing solution.
Fruit ripening period
Harvest ripens from the first decade to the end of September or in October, it all depends on the region of cultivation and weather conditions. The fruits can be consumed in late August, they already have a sweet taste.
Consumer maturity occurs in October or November. The sooner the fruits are removed from the tree, the better they will be stored. If you are late with the harvest, the flesh acquires a brown color.
Pest and Disease Control
Variety Talgar beauty is resistant to scab, the most harmful disease that affects leaves, shoots of fruits, reduces yield. So that the tree does not get sick with other fungal or viral ailments, annually for the purpose of prevention, they remove and burn fallen leaves, whiten the trunks, cut off the frozen, broken off and diseased shoots.
Trees are sprayed with fungicides, for example, Bordeaux mixture, 3-4 times a year:
- in the spring, before the buds open;

- 2 weeks after the previous time.
