To make a fairy tale a reality for most people is a laborious and complex task. But there are people who have enough imagination, talent and zeal to do this. French designer Sylvia Facon creates just such styles of dresses: looking at them, it seems that now you will find yourself in a fairy tale.
In addition, Sylvia uses unusual materials for her creations - for example, it can be old notes, or the roots of books. For example, to make a “book” dress, a French woman took 250 hours.
But the effort paid off. The output was a completely unusual model. Sylvia assures her fans: when creating the dress, only the roots that were already separated from the books were used. Nobody spoiled the literature specially.
Perhaps the most famous work of Fakon is a dress called "Dedication to Arras." Arras is the French hometown. In this fitted outfit, sewing craftsmanship is combined with history. The charm of the beloved city of Sylvia was embodied in a design masterpiece of flowing fabrics.
Fakon also creates models, inspired by musical instruments. It turns out a real symphony - only made from textiles.
And the Frenchwoman dedicated this outfit with a gloomy composition Autumn time of year in the abbey of Valloire. The dress is modeled after the work of illustrator Didier Graffet.
