Hybrid tea roses - what is it?

Following the name, you can immediately understand what tea hybrid roses are. Old varieties of roses were called "tea" roses, now existing - these are hybrids descended from their noble ancestors.

As early as 1867, the first tea pink hybrid was grown, for this the breeders crossed two varieties of repair and tea varieties.

It is interesting that, in addition to damask and French roses, the basis of obtaining repair roses is also tea.

Such selection work was carried out in order to diversify the varietal line of roses, to deepen the color and maintain the old varieties, because over time their genetics began to thin out and the bushes began to die often. The creation of hybrids added “fresh blood”, so to speak, and the variety line has expanded significantly.

It is important to note that tea-hybrid roses are distinguished by continuous and prolonged flowering.

• Rose Osiria - it can reach almost 18 cm in flower diameter. This variety feels good in the area where it rains heavily, but they are very demanding in care and capricious. The variety belongs to terry.

Features of growing plants

If the gardener has firmly decided that he wants to grow roses, then before purchasing seedlings, it is necessary to study the literature and follow the recommendations of experienced gardeners.

4. Before landing, a good layer of coarse sand is poured at the bottom of the landing pit, and then a layer of prepared soil is laid.

1. Watering is carried out exclusively at the root. When planting, the bush should receive moisture in the amount of 5 liters every other day for three days. Further, it is enough to water once a week.
2. Top dressing is applied several times during the summer. Organics in spring and dormancy, minerals in July, potassium closer to autumn.
3. Before frosting, feed the rose with organics again.

2. Next, the whole mulch is removed from under the trunk and a layer of new mulch is laid out, spruce paws or straw are placed on top, then manure or compost, then spruce paws again.
