Quite a small office, but you can work right in the middle of the park.

Selgas cano

The Spanish office, which was designed and implemented by Madrid designers and architects José Selgas and Lucia Cano in 2015. There are no refrigerators, microwave ovens, or anything that we are used to seeing in the average office.

Nothing distracts from work here. At the same time, the designers wanted to convey to the office workers that it was worth going beyond what was permitted. No need to be afraid of something unusual and non-standard.

D&AD headquarters

D&DA is a creative design agency.

Nowadays, those who represent the field of design themselves must have a chic office. With this in mind, major repairs were made at the D&AD headquarters in Shoreditch (youth and modern district of London) in 2017.

Australian famous architects were invited from Brinkworth itself. Now the company can boast of its office, namely the huge free space that every employee needs.

Now it is also possible to hold various presentations, meetings and events right at the office. Previously, the company had to rent a place for all this.

The company’s office has two levels (floors), on each corner you can see large yellow letters with the inscription D&AD (company name). Mural on the outside, convenient location of the office, bar, which now works not only during D&AD presentations, but also around the clock.Design books, functional furniture, and plenty of room for creativity and work. What else do you need?

Cinco

If you ever found yourself thinking that you would like to work at a restored (former) chemical plant in Buenos Aires, then Cinco is the office for you.

There is also a “living room” for various meetings. Here you can find various games, entertainment and puzzles.

The office environment is a reminder of the golden period of the “post-industrial revolution” in Argentina and is inspiring enough for the agency staff to work on various tasks here - they have a workshop for working with paper, wood and other materials.

“This is the place we have always dreamed of,” says creative director Mariano Segal. “All employees really like working here and being part of our company.”

And this is a lovely kitchen where you can relax during the lunch break, sit down and talk with colleagues.

Airbnb

Airbnb is a popular web-based trading platform that allows people to browse, find, and book properties around the world. And recently, the company has expanded its headquarters in the San Francisco area.

Most of the Airbnb design team is based in this vibrant studio in San Francisco. Anyone is free to work outdoors in the Airbnb Design Office.

“We work in areas built around large“ project rooms, ”which are modular spaces with displays, whiteboards, screens and tall tables,” said Alex Schleifer, vice president of design. - Everyone can freely choose and work in many open areas distributed throughout the office. People can also freely change the design of places by decorating them. ”

After receiving feedback from employees at the Airbnb Portland office, the environmental team sought to create a space that made it easier for employees to find each other.

This led to the concept of “neighborhood”, which included the division of space into a number of primary and secondary workspaces.

The main workspaces consist of 29 quarters, each of which is filled with the same components - one large table, personal storage, one or two permanent tables and one resting place.

Secondary workspaces include a large open atrium, a kitchen, and meeting rooms — many design elements copied from existing Airbnb offices around the world. Some design decisions were developed entirely by local employees.

Earlier this year, the company launched its own design studio, creating the first home for an exhibition of the future in Tokyo.

TBWA, New York, USA

TBWA New York office employees do not have designated “their” jobs, which means that employees can sit where they want. And every day they can choose a new job.

The office has a huge open space where you will find a basketball court, a large-screen TV, a classic London telephone box and even trees growing inside the building, which gives it a fresh look.

The Italian artist, designer and architect Gaetano Peske decided to help the TBWA advertising agency realize all the dreams of management and employees and renew the office in New York.

The main entrance on the 6th floor of TBWA's New York office was probably the most boring part of the entire agency. It did not reflect the values and standards of the agency. After all, managers and designers wanted to have a more creative input.

It is the right design decision that can clearly show what the agency is capable of and at the same time inform about the name of the company. Now TBWA has a colorful and bright wall in front of the entrance.

With no dedicated jobs, the TBWA team is also advised to change jobs every day so that there is no stagnation in work and thoughts. Pretty good idea, right?
